CLUB 3150 opened in spectacular fashion with about 40 people enjoying everything the new coterie group had to offer last Sunday.
And, we’re talking sumptuous food, fine wines and above all the chance to catch up with old friends, meet new ones, network and support the Waverley Baseball Club.
One-time club junior champion James Beresford, now with seven years in professional baseball behind him, spoke about the demands, both physical and mental, as well as what lies ahead when he heads to the Minnesota Twins Major League spring training camp.
Club 3150 also welcomed former Preston, Melbourne Monarch and Australian Olympian Richard Vagg who reminisced about the days he played against Waverley.
A special thanks also to Jeep, for its stunning three piece luggage set, kindly donated by Carla Leach, a junior parent; Eighty One, fine food & wine, Berwick, per courtesy of Jeff Gittus and a DVD thanks to Stuart Robinson of Sound Integration. Also, thanks to John Lloyd from Riviana for the anti-pasta.
Feedback was positive, but rest assured our second Club 3150 lunch at the Waverley Baseball Club on SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 2 will be even better.
More than 30 people are now members on Club 3150, we’re looking to push that number closer to 50 before the next lunch.
Many were unable to attend the first Club 3150 lunch through Christmas commitments, but have indicated they will be there for the next lunch.
Avoid disappointment; book in early for the next Club 3150 lunch. Round up your old teammates; invite a friend or three and join in the fun of Club 3150 on SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 2.
Contact DAVID CLARKSON (0410 560 981) or ADRIAN DUNN (0438 98 33 88) to book your seat at the next Club 3150 lunch.
